The rounds are laser cut out of wood (mdf core). Due to the character of wood, sometimes knots or natural imperfections are present and visible. We feel that slight imperfections add to the character. Please note that laser cut wood has a discolored edge. This can be left alone (looks great as is), or easily painted. Naturally, each round may have different wood colors or grains. We do our best to pick out the best sheets of wood, but some natural bowing may occur.
