When downloading an SVG, make sure to save it to a location on your computer that you will easily find later. We recommend creating a folder on your desktop, specifically for your downloaded SVG's, as you will likely be using these all the time.

If you haven't already downloaded the desktop software for Cricut Design Space, go ahead and do that now. Cricut is discontinuing their web based app, so the desktop app is now required. The benefit is that you can access the software and work on projects even when you don't have internet access. You will have to be online, for some features to be activated, such as saving files for offline use or to access Cricut templates. Once the software is installed on your computer, you are ready to upload your files and on your way to creating wonderful things. Here are the steps:

Open Cricut Design Space.

Click on New Project.

On the left-side design panel, click on Upload. From here you will find the folder that you created, containing all of your svg files. Select the correct svg file and open it.

The file will now show up in the list of uploaded images. Click on the image to highlight it and then click on Insert Image.

Your image should now be on the canvas and ready to edit / cut.
